THE MUSEUM IN A SHOEBOX ROYAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR OUTSTANDING EXCELLENCE AND ADVANCED ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE ARTS
June 1, 2009
The Museum in a Shoebox's prestigious scholarship was awarded to architect Jesús Franch Jiménez. More than 10 000 graduates from a little more than 5 000 architecture, art and design schools competed for the scholarship. Eventhough there were many excellent diploma projects competing for the coveted prize, Jesús' "House of Opportunities" was the obvious winner. In fact, when the Museum Director handed him the giant check, she said she wished his proposal had been around when the Museum building was still in its planning stages.
