Seo-yeon Zimmermann's latest installation "First World Possessions" is on display in the Museum's Lobby. It is a collection of oversized furniture made of real gold. It is a part of Zimmermann's impressive body of work that focuses on the politics and consequences of consumer society. She has organized flash mobs in shoppingmalls on every single continent, impersonated bank officials, created her own currency ("Zimmy"), glued herself onto the official headquarters of major corporations etc. Her work defines the intersection of art and activism.

The gold sculptures in the Lobby are meant to be used. The artist encourages everyone to climb her sculptures and enjoy the view from the top of a golden table!
