September 3 - October 19, 2009
Björn Säfsten's new dance performance is based on a series of videotaped interviews with his dancers. He studied their body language and created a stylized version of each dancer's movements. The final piece uses mundane everyday movements as a starting point and lets the dancers' actions and reactions move the work forward.
Choreographer: Björn Säfsten
Dancers: Anja Arnquist, Sophie Augot and Madeleine Lindh
Design/video: Jesús Franch Jiménez and Joanna Zawieja
Lighting: Jan Pettersson
Time: Tuesday - Sunday 8 pm

There are a couple of dates when the performance will tour our partner institutions. If you are vacationing in Europe you can catch the performance at the following places:
*Interesting fact: Björn Säfsten met Jesús Franch Jiménez and Joanna Zawieja at the Museum's Grand Opening. They became friends and decided to work together. That chance encounter lead to "Compact Conversations". We are already looking forward to their next collaboration!
**Interesting fact: Nicklas Dennermalm will be documenting the work through video and photography. It will provide a rare glimpse of the hard work that takes place behind the scenes.
